Welcome to our Blog!  The purpose of this blog is to share information that enables K-12 students to have meaningful experiences with computing.  Computer science is a profession that is for everyone: it provides careers that are impactful, intellectually stimulating, well paid and flexible.  Yet, there is a worldwide shortage of computer scientists!  Because computer scientists have changed the way we live (e.g. social media, smart phones and Google) and will continue to do so in the future (e.g. self-driving cars, smart homes, the Internet of Things and more), it is imperative that women and men from all walks of life participate.  Please enjoy, share and contribute!

Happy Computing,
John Paxton
Professor and Department Head
