Scrapbooking is a fun and easy way to display photographs of your classroom. Have each student take turns taking pictures of the class and activities in which they are involved. Have the kids thinking of a design of a scrapbook page that reflects themselves. At the end of the year each student will have a page and they will be compiled into a book. There are many ways to design each page so they are unique! There are no rules to this project. Go ahead, get started, and have fun!

The objective of this project is to learn how to take care of photographs, what kinds of paper, scissors, pens and glues to use, and how to a design a scrapbook page. After learning all the procedures is when your talent kicks in. The creative wheels will start turning and the pages will become easier to put together. You will acquire many supplies along the way that make the pages more interesting and learn little tricks to speed up the process. Every page will be unique. Some pages come together quickly and some take a lot of thought in color combinations and time. This happens to everyone, so don't get discouraged. Good luck and happy scraping!
To get started each student will obtain a piece of acid-free colored paper, glue stick, acid-free markers, and pictures taken throughout the year within the classroom. There are many accessories other than what is listed such as templates, stickers, glitter, etc., but it is up to the student to decide how he or she wants to decorate their page. Once everyone's pages are complete they will all be compiled into a book to be photocopied for every student in the classroom. They will get their original page back after they have been displayed on the bulletin board.
Making a scrapbook will be much easier now that you know all the correct materials to use. It is very important to know the proper procedures so your pictures will last a long time. Once all of the questions below have been answered I would like you to write your answers and reflect what you have learned in a journal explaining why you chose certain colors or why you designed it the way you did.
