Master of Science in Health Sciences
Students who want to broaden their educational foundation and pursue careers in health care will be interested in the MS in Health Sciences.

The program is designed for students to attain additional education, particularly during the 'glide' year often associated with application to health professional schools.
Students earning the MS in Health Sciences will declare an emphasis (Molecular Medicine, Community Health, International Medicine, or Health and Medicine) and complete 24 credits of acceptable coursework and 6 credits of a scholarly project within one year.

Prerequisites include one year each of general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics and biology with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Students can be considered for conditional acceptance when applying for the Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Certificate Program and create a 2-year educational program.

Applicants will complete an Application from the MSU Division of Graduate Education web site and will also submit a one-page statement about the development of your interest in the health professions. Two recommendations are encouraged from those who can speak to your motivation for medicine. To initiate an application, click here. You may either complete the online application and pay $50 or scroll down to Adobe Acrobat Application Forms, download an application and mail it, your undergraduate transcript(s), a $60 check made out to Montana State University, and your one page statement to Sheila Nielsen-Preiss, Ph.D. (not the Division of Graduate Education) at this address:
