Research Interests

My research is investigating the potential of mycorrhizal fungi to mediate the effects of climate change and alter plant traits for two native, perennial forbs. I’m growing Achillea millefolium and Linum lewisii inoculated with three species of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) under projected warming and drought conditions adapted from the 2017 Montana Climate Assessment. I seek to understand how changes in plant traits from the treatments could affect aboveground interactions with pollinators and belowground interactions with symbiotic fungi.
