While CORE 2.0 is a University requirement, the DAEE requires additional courses in the arts, humanities, and social sciences fields. Often these courses may overlap with those that are eligible to fulfill the CORE 2.0 arts, humanities, and diversity requirements. However, students cannot double-count courses that fulfill the CORE 2.0 requirement as also fulfilling the DAEE's arts, humanities, and social science elective requirements.

Students majoring in Agricultural Business are required to take three (3) arts, humanities, and social science electives. Students majoring in Economics are required to take two (2) social science electives in the fields of anthropology, geography, political science, psychology, sociology, or history.

Any courses in anthropology, geography, political science, psychology, sociology, or history will satisfy the arts, humanities, and social science electives requirement. The Agricultural Business major has additional choices in the fields of arts and humanities. It is up to you to choose courses that are of most interest. You are encouraged to discuss possible options with your academic advisor.

No. ECNS 101IS and ECNS 204IS cannot be double-counted toward both your major requirements and the arts, humanities, and social science electives requirement.
