While in Ireland the students met with U.S. Agricultural Attache Michael Hanley who presented on agriculture in Ireland and U.S.-Ireland agricultural trade issues. They also visited the Keenan System Feed Mix operations and toured a manufacturing facility including a feed lot facility and cow-calf operation.
The students attended a three hour program on livestock issues at the University College, Dublin. Issues presented included the Irish livestock sector, the Common Agricultural Policy, Animal Health and ID, and post farm marketing channels for meat products.
