Master's Program

A Program Designed with the Practicing Teacher in Mind

Purpose of the Program

The Master's Degree program in Curriculum and Instruction provides professional development and scholarship for educators with diverse professional backgrounds. The graduate faculty are committed to offering multiple ways to fulfill graduate students' goals and expectations for advanced study in teaching, learning and curriculum design. The program provides academic preparation for prospective and in-serve educators who seek higher education in order to become master teachers, scholars, researchers, or curriculum coordinators in schools, districts and in private and public educational agencies. The program is structured to allow full-time working professionals to continue their jobs while working toward an advanced degree.

This program is exciting!! You will share your strengths, develop action research strategies, study theory and best practice, as well as examine current issues in education and their impact on your teaching excellence.

The program is structured so you can choose from courses delivered during summer, weekends, evenings, and online. Your final capstone presentation is included in the final semester of your program.
