Distance Education
Principal certification course requirements are delivered via D2L (computer conference) and other technological modalities. All certification students will be required to attend a one-week seminar on campus for two summers, with the third summer seminar being highly recommended but not required.
The Master's degree in Educational Leadership is delivered via D2L (computer conference) and other technological modalities. Beginning Summer, 2009, students matriculating in the MA degree program will be required to attend a one week seminar on campus for three summers as part of their program of study.
Superintendent certification is delivered using a combination of D2L (computer conference), other technological modalities, and weekend classes with one 4-week summer session (July) available. Candidates holding K-12 Montana certification may complete certification in a single summer.
Unlike other programs, the doctoral program, while still utilizing distance education, stresses face-to-face instruction and requires significant time in traditionally delivered classes.
