Kinesiology
are you interested in a broad-based study of human movement?

The primary goal of the Kinesiology program is to provide a well-rounded, scholarly understanding of the body of knowledge related to human movement. 
Course requirements include exploration of the scientific bases and knowledge of movement.  From this broad knowledge base, the program is designed to provide for flexibility so that a student may pursue a variety of areas related to physical activity and sport. 

The program's objectives are to develop basic knowledge, comprehension, and appreciation of (a) historical and cultural perspectives of human movement, (b) social and psychological influences of human movement, and (c) physiological and biomechanical correlates of human performance.

MULTIPLE CAREER PATHS

Medically-related fields: Physician assistant, occupational therapy, pharmaceutical sales, cardiac rehabilitation, chiropractor, podiatry
   
Fitness-related fields: Corporate fitness, personal trainer, health fitness director
   
Sports industry: Sport management, sport marketing, athletic director, events management, equipment sales
