The Empower Peer Mentoring Program connects freshman and transfer underrepresented and/or first-generation "STEM" (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) students with underrepresented and/or first-generation mentors who are succeeding at MSU.  "First generation" students are those who are the first in their families to attend a four-year college.

The program supports personal and academic interactions between mentor and mentee, encouraging trust-building, friendship, and professional engagement.

The EMPower peer mentoring program will host a 2018 fall semester kick-off event in September.  Stay tuned for details!
