Eagle Mount’s Saturday Night Out program

Saturday Night Out is designed to give parents and caregivers a respite and an opportunity to socialize for the participants.

We play games, sing, do crafts, and create edible art!  A filling meal is provided and the evening often ends with movie time.

Volunteers play a critical role in the success of the Saturday Night Out program. We strive for a one-to-one ratio of volunteers to participants. Groups from service organizations or clubs are welcome to volunteer!

Community Cafe Volunteers Needed!

The MSU Office of Activities and Engagement (OAE) invites the MSU community to join us in hosting dinners on Wednesday evenings at the Community Café, a program of the Gallatin Valley Food Bank.  The Community Café is open seven evenings per week 365 days per year and the OAE is responsible to rally between 8 and 10 volunteers each Wednesday evening to seat, serve, and engage with the customers of the café.  The café provides a hot dinner to anyone who wishes to join them at their building located at 302 North 7th Ave between 5:00pm and 7:00pm.

We are always scheduling volunteers to serve on any Wednesday evening you prefer.  Volunteers at the Community Café should arrive by 4:30pm for their shift and will receive a short orientation to the facility and the volunteer positions available that evening.  Volunteers must commit to staying until 7:30pm so that they can assist with clean up after service ends at 7:00pm.

Interested in volunteering??  Submit this form and we will be in touch via, e-mail, with a confirmation of your service.  Your information will also be added to our database of volunteers (this list is not viewed or shared with anyone outside the OAE) and you will be scheduled for the date(s) you indicate in your email, barring they are not already filled.  Once the date gets closer, our office will send you a reminder e-mail before your service, which will include appropriate dress guidelines, the address of the café, and a short training poster.

2014 Campus Clean up – Thursday, April 24, 2014
(Rain-out alternate date Thursday, May 1, 2014)

Thursday morning, April 24th, the Facilities Services and the Facilities Planning, Design & Construction departments are sponsoring the 7th annual pre-commencement, campus-wide litter/garbage pick-up operation.  We encourage and welcome volunteers from across the campus community to join our departmental volunteers in this effort.

This activity is supported by the President’s Office and MSU Administration and has received a great deal of positive feedback in the past.

Your participation will help—

  • Present our campus its best light to the many parents, alumni, and dignitaries that will be visiting our campus during Commencement,
  • Raise the awareness across campus of the impact that common litter/garbage has on the aesthetic value of our campus,

The activity begins at 10:15 at Wally Byam Park and concludes with pizza and refreshments at the Brick Breedon Fieldhouse.  Please review the attached memo and map for details.

To insure we have enough supplies and food please click here at  Campus Cleanup  if you are going to participate.
