Call for Applications AY15-16
On behalf of the MSU DEAL Advisory Committee, we are pleased to announce the opening of the application period for AY15-16 DEAL – Developing Excellence in Academic Leadership program. This program is designed for leaders and emerging leaders at Montana State University and is a leadership priority jointly funded by President Cruzado and Provost Potvin through the Center for Faculty Excellence. DEAL strives to provide support for academic leaders through a series of workshops on professional development and leadership skills.
Consider some feedback from recent DEAL graduates:
“DEAL was a terrific program to be a part of and between all of the useful information I collected and the terrific people I have met and will stay connected with, I can honestly say it was the best leadership training I have experienced.”
“I really found it helpful to hear what others have experienced in their leadership positions. I have a broader perspective of MSU and its community now.”
You can access the application by visiting the DEAL website at http://www.montana.edu/facultyexcellence/deal/. Participants will join an esteemed group of over 100 colleagues across campus who have benefited from the education and networking opportunities offered through this program.
The program consists of seven sessions to be offered throughout the year from 3-5pm in the MSU Library’s Innovative Learning Studio. Fall semester dates are September 17, October 15, and November 19, 2015. Spring semester dates are January 21, February 18, March 24, and April 14, 2016. In addition, there will be DEAL-hosted dinners at the Montana Ale Works following the November 19 and April 14 sessions.
We hope you will consider completing an application or encouraging a colleague to apply. Application materials are due to Robin Francis (email@example.com) by Thursday, April 30, 2015.
