• New for 2017-18: Early Career Faculty Success Certificate Please join us for a new and exciting opportunity!

The Center has identified a series of workshops to help Early Career Faculty become successful and created a Certificate you can earn if you complete them. Attending these workshops will give you a solid foundation to begin your career at MSU!  Individuals who have been hired within the past three years are eligible.

For this Certificate you need to earn six credits from Center for Faculty Excellence events. These must include at least three from this year’s workshops of

    • Active Learning: Rethinking Teaching (8/23),
    • Charting a Course with Learning Outcomes to Enhance Student Learning and Success (9/6),
    • Finding Grant Funding (9/8),
    • MSU Technology Fair (9/12),
    • Establishing and Maintaining the “Write” Habit (10/13),
    • Formative Classroom Assessment Techniques (date: TBD), and
    • Introduction to Grants (date: TBD).

Some of these sessions will be recorded, so if you are unable to attend, you can view the recording on the CFE website – please let us know if you choose to “attend” in this way.  The remaining credits can be earned from any of the CFE workshops offered this year.  To receive credits for any of these activities, interested faculty should sign the Record of Attendance that will be distributed at these events.

A special event will be held at the end of the year for everyone who completes the certificate.
