Fall Semester 2009 openings:
Associated Students of Montana State University (ASMSU) Day Care Preschool offers childcare for children age 2.5 years through Kindergarten at the Louise Shunk Day Care/Community Center located at 1295 West Garfield Street (on the east end of the campus). Applications for child care may be received by contacting the ASMSU Day Care office at 406 994-4370 or go on the MSU website and go to the ASMSU link and look under day care preschool and download an application. ASMSU child care is available for the children of enrolled students at MSU, MSU faculty and staff children. |

THE STORY MILL 5 & NORTH CHURCH FUN RUN,
CHILDREN’S HEALTH FAIR AND NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY
On Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 10:00 a.m.–12: 00 p.m. Hawthorne Elementary School will host The Story Mill 5 and North Church Fun Run. In conjunction with the race/fun run Hawthorne is enlisting the help of various Bozeman health professionals to promote a Children’s Health Fair that will be held on the playground of Hawthorne Elementary School during the race/fun run from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Hawthorne is proud to host this 5K/1 Mile Fun Run and Children’s Health Fair to encourage children to get out and run for fun, to make healthy choices in their lives and to offer the children’s health fair as an educational opportunity for all parents of children who are participating in this event. Health providers such as Big Sky Dermatology, Allergy & Asthma Consultants if Montana, ACORN Pediatrics, the Gallatin Valley Health Department, Schmieding Dental Group and Dr. Robert Malloy, Orthodontist are just a sampling of the health providers that will be in attendance at the Children’s Health Fair.
In addition to hosting a 5k Race and 1 Mile Fun Run and the Children’s Health Fair the entire Northeast Neighborhood is invited to participate in a block party. The Northeast Neighbors are encouraged to join in the festivities by displaying their art, create sidewalk art on N. Church Avenue and be in attendance at Hawthorne Elementary School for music, food and fun.
This race/fun run will be open to every child age 6 though 18 within the Bozeman School District and to children living in outlying communities along with parents, family members and anyone who loves to run. Registration forms and a map of the route can be printed off of Hawthorne Elementary School’s website www.bsd7.org/hawthorne/ and mailed to Reni Kessinger at the address listed on the registration form. You may also email questions to Reni at rkessinger@theglobal.net. A preregistration fee of $20 will be assessed to all runners who register by September 15, 2009 and a $25 race fee will be assessed to those who choose to register on the day of the race/fun run. Race day registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. NO DOGS PLEASE!

BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS’ 2009 BOWL FOR KIDS’ SAKE
A Change of Shoes Can Change a Life!
Bowl For Kids’ Sake, a fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gallatin County, will take place on September 18th, 19th, 26th and 27th. Get your friends, family and co-workers together and register your team today! Help raise money for local kids and then enjoy free bowling, Mackenzie River pizza, prizes and more...all for a great cause! The money raised through Bowl For Kids' Sake goes directly towards matching Gallatin County children with positive adult role models and mentors.
