Corporate and Foundation Gifts at Work
Talented and committed graduate and undergraduate students are Montana State University’s lifeblood. The university has given the highest priority to their education and career preparation since its founding. But student support includes more than scholarships to cover tuition and living expenses. It provides enrichment funds to support special research opportunities with faculty, internships, study abroad, and creative experiences. In addition, it recognizes superior achievement.

Marathon Oil Company Teams with MSU’s Earth Sciences Department
With a generous gift of $125,000, Marathon created The Marathon Center of Research and Teaching Excellence in Earth Science (M-CORTES) at MSU.  M-CORTES is a long-term partnership between Marathon Oil Corporation and MSU that promotes the research and educational objectives of both organizations in petroleum-focused disciplines in geology. 

American Honda Promotes Science Literacy Through Archaeology
With support from the American Honda Foundation, Montana State University’s Project Archaeology is introducing archaeology into schools as a way to help students understand today’s world and to help them shape a better world for tomorrow. 

Steele Reese Foundation Creates Endowed Scholarship Fund at MSU
The Steele Reese Foundation created a scholarship endowment at Montana State University for students graduating from high school in the Custer and Lemhi counties in the state of Idaho.  Over the past 5 years, the Steele Reese Foundation has made several gifts to Montana State University that have funded programs ranging from supporting an endowed chair in MSU’s Libraries to educational workshops for teacher education.
