Contrary to popular belief, we do not bring a clear map of our future with us to college, nor do we bring a clear idea of what we are capable of with us to our collegiate experience. Many of us need guidance and encouragement in building an educational, career, and life plan. Even "good" students need direction and support.
The CSI Survey gives us a "snapshot" of the needs and abilities you are bringing with you to Montana State University. The CSI Survey differs in other assessments in that it is a self-reported survey that will measure your motivation to succeed and excel at MSU. This survey and the interpretation of it, is our opportunity to discuss with you ways to navigate through this first year with the greatest success possible!
When you come in to review your CSI results and meet one-on-one with our trained advisors you will be fostering valuable communication and relationships with people on this campus that can help you over the coming years. Our advisors will meet with students and create a personal success plan, filled with tips and applicable resources, to make the college experience as enjoyable as possible. Students which take the survey will be provided with a four page, individualized report when attending an interpretation.
