Alpha Gamma Delta
Alpha Gamma Delta, an international fraternity for women, was founded in 1904 at Syracuse University. Today, Alpha Gamma Delta enjoys wide recognition as a premier women's organization committed to academic excellence, leadership development, high ideals and sisterhood. The Fraternity makes a unique, lifelong impact on its members. No matter where life takes an Alpha Gam, she will always find herself surrounded by sisterhood.
Hello Alumni! This year has already been super busy at Delta Gamma Chapter. Our formal recruitment went very well! We have 16 wonderful new members to add to our sisterhood at MSU. All of them are such amazing young women and we are proud to say that they are part of our house.
This past semester, the house as a whole has been incredibly involved in many things, from volunteering on campus with events like Freshman Convocation and Midnight Mania, to helping out the other Greek houses and their philanthropies - here's to taking second in the Sig Ep powder-puff football tournament!
Along with all of our girls who work every week, we have girls who help out at elementary schools and who mentor troubled youth. Many of our members are AdvoCats and lead tours around campus to prospective students and their parents. Also, a few of our girls are in choir and band, and they have concerts throughout the semester that we love to go to and give our support.
And of course, we've been going to every Bobcat home game and love to cheer on our fellow students in football, volleyball, and basketball! Speaking of Football, we had a great Alumni Brunch on the Sunday after MSU's Homecoming Football game. It was great to meet so many new alumni and to reconnect with the ones that we already knew.
We are also very excited about the things that are to come, as we have packed our calendars full of exciting opportunities ; our annual philanthropy event, Trick-or-Treat for Change was this Halloween, and we are very excited about the amount of money raised for the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation. We plan on becoming a Jewel Chapter again this year, so we can keep our two year streak running!
