RSF Group Fitness Internship Opportunity:

The MSU Recreational Sports and Fitness Department offers a complete training course for interns preparing for group fitness certification. The training entails book work on anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and also includes practical application in preparing group fitness classes. The internship concludes in an international group fitness certification exam through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Successful completion of the internship and exam results in an individual being certified internationally to teach group fitness classes.

The next intern session will begin in mid to late October 2008. The class is limited to 5 participants to ensure adequate individual attention and successful completion. Because of the class size limitation, applicants will be screened for potential success, commitment and availability. Upon successful completion of this program, participants will be considered for employment by the department as group fitness instructors for MSU.

If interested in this training opportunity or for more information, please contact Kelly Crosby in the Recreational Sports and Fitness office no later than September 30th, 2008 at 994-5000 or by e-mail at kcrosby@montana.edu.
