Summer Session 2013
| May 13 | First 6 week and 12 week sessions, classes begin |
| May 15 | Last day for international applications for fall semester (if this is different than your department, follow your department's date) |
| May 27 | Memorial Day holiday (no classes; offices closed) |
| June 10 | last day for graduate students to file "Application for Advanced Degree" |
| July 4 | Independence Day holiday observed (no classes; offices closed) |
| July 15 | Last day for master's comprehensive or doctoral examination |
| July 15 | Last day for approval of thesis, dissertation, or professional paper (if professional paper is submitted to the library) by formatting advisor. |
| Aug 2 | Last day of semester; classes end for 12 week and second 6 week, Last day to withdraw application for advanced degree |
Fall Semester 2013
| Aug 22, morning | New Graduate Student Orientation, mandatory |
| Aug 22 12-3 | New Graduate Student BBQ on the quad south of Hannon Hall (east end of the Centennial Mall) |
| Aug 23, morning | GTA Orientation (mandatory for all GTAs teaching this semester who have not previously attended the GTA orientation) |
| Aug 26 | Classes begin 1-credit extension deadline |
| Sept 2 | Labor Day (no classes; offices closed) |
| Sept 20 | Last day for graduate students to file "Application for Advanced Degree" |
| Oct 1 | Last day for international applications for spring semester (if this is different than your department, follow your department's date) |
| Nov 11 | Veteran's Day holiday (no classes; offices closed) |
