Required Tests

GRE (general exam). Have official score sent to Montana State University by using the code 4488.

International Applicants

English proficiency scores with the following minimums: TOEFL (80), IELTS (level 6.5), or PTE (54), are required for applicants who are not U.S. citizens and are not from countries where English is the official language. This requirement is waived if the applicant has earned an undergraduate or graduate degree from an institution in the U.S. or if the student is from a country where the English proficiency score is waived.

Overview

The MPAc degree is designed to prepare students for professional careers in the field of accounting. When you enter our program, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our nationally-recognized accounting and business faculty, using state-of-the-art technology. With the assistance of the Director of the MPAc Program, students will formulate a graduate program that will integrate their educational background, areas of interest and career path.

Montana State University's Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship cultivates students' abilities to think innovatively while developing in-depth technical accounting knowledge, strong ethics, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Students completing the MPAc degree build a strong foundation for successful careers in public, private, and governmental accounting. Completing the 30 semester credits for the MPAc degree ensures accounting students meet the education required beyond the bachelor's degree to sit for the CPA exam in most states.
