In the spring of 2010 ASMSU was awarded an ARRA Recycling Infrastructure Grant from the Montana Department of Environmental Quality to support beverage container recycling at large events held on campus. With this grant ASMSU has purchased 60 collapsible, transportable recycling bins to accommodate major campus venues such as the Bobcat Stadium, the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, and the Strand Union Building. If you are interested in recycling at an event or location that is not affiliated with Sports Facilities or the Strand Union, please contact the ASMSU Sustainability Center to inquire about availability. Recycling & FootballWe've partnered with Bobcat Athletics and MSU Sports Facilities to provide recycling at the Stadium and tailgate areas during all six home football games. Big THANKS to the men from MSU's chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity, who have agreed to adopt all of the 2011 season games as a volunteer service project. They'll be helping hand out recycling bags and information to tailgaters, assisting with clean-up, and generally encouraging fans to recycle. Please show them your appreciation when you see them at the game! |
