EE 451 - Power Electronics
This course introduces students to solid-state power devices and fundamental principles, control, and applications of different power converters. This course includes a weekly lab where students can practice different power devices and power converters.
EE 558 - Advanced Topics in Power
This course introduces steady-state and dynamic models of DC and AC motors, discusses high performane torque, speed, or position control of the motors using the models, and covers implementation of the control with modern power electronics technology. The course inlcudes mini-porjects where students can explore different motor control strategies and systems.
