With an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and a Ph.D. in History of Consciousness, my background is thoroughly multi-disciplinary. The first part of my career focused on advocating, investigating, promoting and managing research and education designed to advance sustainable agricultural systems. Experience in project management led me to manage a multi-state extension research project on agricultural Environmental Management Systems, and then a regional Pollution Prevention Information Center. My livelihood has been grant-dependent for 18 years, leading to current expertise in grant writing and funded project development. I’ve also worked professionally as a writer/editor. Various personal and professional interests (e.g. Adult Education, and Ortho-Bionomy) have led me to Health & Human Development and Education as welcome fields of focus.
