The MSU History & Philosophy department is pleased to announce Rick Bass, noted environmental activist and writer, as the Wallace Stegner Lecturer Spring 2013. His lecture, titled "The Landscape of Imagination" was held in the Hager Auditorium, at the Museum of the Rockies, on Friday, April 12th.

Rick Bass is the author of more than 25 books of fiction and nonfiction, including A Thousand Deer, Oil Notes and Why I Came West. He was a finalist for a National Book Critics Circle Award, winner of numerous Pushcart Prizes, the O. Henry Award, and the Los Angles Times Best Book of the Year Award.
