Representing Residents since 1973

The Residence Hall Association, or RHA, is a student organization that represents and serves every student living in the residence halls at Montana State University. RHA provides many services to our residents including advocating for residents’ interests, planning events, and assisting in building communities across campus.

RHA has many parts to it, including:

  • The RHA Executive Board is the most encompassing aspect of the organization, representing the entire on-campus population and planning several events for all residents to enjoy. Some events they host are the Fall and Spring Leadership Workshop, Movie On The Wall, Go Cats Lights, FallFest, Ultimate Bingo, and more!Go Cats Lights
  • Hall Councils are student governments that represent each individual residence hall. They meet frequently to discuss what is occurring in the building, what the residents would like to see, and planning events for the hall and campus.
  • The floor/apartment/suite communities are then represented by a Community Representative that works with their Hall Council to provide a direct voice for residents of their smaller community. They are also instrumental in the development in community standards with their peers.
  • The National Residence Hall Honorary is a sibling organization that serves the residents alongside RHA as a leadership honor society. NRHH emphasizes community service on the MSU campus and in the Gallatin Valley as well as recognizing all the amazing things occurring on-campus.
