LEAP program participants stay with an American family for two weeks shortly after arriving in Montana. It is good opportunity for them to learn about American ways of life and get accustomed to them. During the homestays, they meet many different people from different cultures. Host families regularly take the LEAP participants to various places of local interest. Some enjoy hiking and traveling to Yellowstone National Park or other places with great views in Montana. Others may go to a party or church. Through these experiences staying with American families, they learn about American culture, manners, food, religion, and American ways of thinking.
