Greetings from MSU!


MSU named to 'America's 100 Best College Buys' list. MSU was recently named to "America's 100 Best College Buys", a list recognizing select colleges and universities for quality and affordability. Approximately 1,500 schools were analyzed in the study, which used academic performance for out-of-state students, to select schools to recognize. For more information...

'Life of Pi' author to deliver 2013 convocation lecture. Yann Martel, author of "Life of Pi", will speak at MSU's 2013 Freshman Convocation in September, and kick off the university's Year of Engaged Leadership. "Life of Pi" is a worldwide bestseller and was made into a highly acclaimed and Academy Award winner motion picture.

MSU to host one of the world's first celebrations for Einstein's theory. Two years before the centennial anniversary of the discovery of Einstein's General Relativity, MSU will host a series of events to celebrate Einstein's theory of General Relativity. Through a series of lectures and art projects, the celebration is designed to share with the general public the story of Einstein and his ideas. MSU will also host an international scientific workshop expected to draw 60 scientists from the U.S., Europe and Japan. The event is co-organized by Princeton University, NASA, the National Science Foundation and the Montana Space Grant Consortium. Read more…

The 31st International Street Food Bazaar was a great success! It was held on Saturday, February 16th, and almost 2,700 people attended. Students from 30 countries cooked special dishes from their homeland and decorated their booth, hoping to win the attention of the judges. Best booth this year went to Morocco, with India and Saudi Arabia taking 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Congratulations to all who made this a wonderful event!
