Greetings from MSU!


MSU among top 10 of institutions for number of Goldwater recipients. MSU is among the top 10 in the nation of institutions that have received the most Goldwater Scholarships, the country’s premier scholarship for undergraduates studying math, natural sciences and engineering. MSU now has 58 recipients, the same as Johns Hopkins University and two more than Yale University and the University of Washington. The totals come from the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation. Each scholarship winner receives up to $7,500 a year for tuition, fees, books, and room and board. Read more...

Fall 2014 SAT/ACT-Based Freshman Scholarships range between $2,000 and $15,000 per year for four years (with maintenance of a 3.0/4.0 GPA). This award is automatic, guaranteed and renewable. To be eligible, you must be a freshman applicant, apply to MSU and send your SAT or ACT score to MSU. More information...

Paleontologist Dr. Jack Horner wins lifetime achievement from Society of Vertebrate Paleontology. Professor of Paleontology and Curator of MSU's Museum of the Rockies will receive his lifetime achievement award in Los Angeles on Nov. 2.This year, the organization will also honor filmmaker Steven Spielberg. Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Horner is known for being the scientific advisor of the Jurassic Park movies.
