Program Overview
Founded in 1996 by the Instanbul Education and Culture Foundation, Yeditepe University is the largest private university in Turkey with over 14,500 undergraduate and graduate students. Named for the Seven Hills of Istanbul, Yeditepe University overlooks the city of Istanbul. The modern campus, built in 2000, offers beautiful, state of the art facilties. The university welcomes international students from around the world and has over 100 international students studying at the campus each year.
Academic Program
Yeditepe University offers 52 undergraduate programs in 11 different faculties. Faculties include Arts and Sciences, Communication, Dentristy, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, Fine Arts, Law, Pharmacy, Medicine and Commerce.

Eligibility
Students who have completed one full academic year of university level work at MSU with at least a 3.0 GPA are eligible.
Academic Credit
Credit will be awarded at MSU for all courses taken and passed at Yeditepe University. The student's academic adviser at MSU, in consultation with the Office of International Programs will determine how these credits will apply to degree course requirements. However, successful study at Yeditepe satisfies MSU's Multicultural/Global core curriculum requirement. Students are urged to work closely with their adviser and the Office of International Programs prior to departure to plan a course of studies which will maintain steady progress toward their degree.
Location
Yeditepe University is located in Istanbul, the largest city in Turkey and the former captial of three empires (Eastern Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman). With over 10 million people, the city extends over the European and Asian side of the Bosphorous strait and is the financial, cultural and economic center of modern Turkey.
Istanbul is known for its impressive architecture, which is a result of the city's role as a cultural center througout Turkey's long history. The city offers many historical mosques, synagogues, churches, palaces, castles and towers to visit.

Istanbul is also well situated for exploring nearby countries, including Greece and Eastern Europe. A bus and ferry system provide transportation from Yeditepe University's Main Campus to anywhere in Istanbul.
Student Life
Yeditepe University offers on campus accommodation to all international students. A variety of clubs and sports activities are available including Law Society, Culture and Thought, Rock Music, Dancing, Photography, Entrepreneurship, Fine Arts, and the Environment, among others.
Cost and Included Benefits
Students who receive exchange placements at Yeditepe University will pay tuition at MSU in the same amount as if studying in Bozeman. Business students who are not awarded exchange placements and students with other majors. Each student is responsible for his/her room and board in Turkey as well as trans-Atlantic travel expenses. Remember to plan for extra expenses such as internal travel and personal spending money as well as for unexpected changes in the exchange rate.

Financial Aid
Financial aid may be available for study abroad at Yeditepe University. Additional costs for study at Yeditepe University (e.g. travel to and from the study site) may be used in calculating students' financial aid packages. Students are responsible to apply to the Office of Financial Aid.

Applications are available in the Office of International Programs at 400 Culbertson Hall.
