Friends Beyond Borders Program
What is Friends Beyond Borders?
Friends Beyond Borders partners MSU students with incoming international students in order to promote cross-cultural exchange at MSU and to help international students adjust to life in Bozeman.
- Meet new people and develop lasting friendships from around the world
- Travel without leaving Bozeman
- Improve language skills
- Learn about a new culture
- It is an opportunity to be flexible, open-minded and broaden your horizons.
Program Commitments:
- Attend the Match Meeting to meet your partner
- Must be willing to commit for one semester
- Monthly update to Office of International Programs
Note: You must be an enrolled MSU student in good academic standing.
What the program is NOT:
- Friends Beyond Borders is NOT a dating service. Single persons will be matched with persons of the same sex.
- Friends Beyond Borders is NOT a tool for religious recruitment/evangelism/proselytizing.
Match Meeting
- You will meet your international student at the Match Meeting, which will be held at a date shortly following the start of the semester in the Office of International Programs, 400 Culbertson Hall.
