Study Abroad Photo Contest
 

Submit your study abroad photos to the
MSU Study Abroad Photo Contest!
The top 15 photos will be dispayed in the Exit Gallery during International Education Week!
Photo Contest Entry Information
RULES
- The contest is open to all currently enrolled Montana State University students who have participated in a MSU-sponsored study abroad program
- Label the back of the photos with the entrant's name and title of photo
- Photos must be submitted as an 8 x 10 print (larger or smaller images will not be accepted). Please also submit a digital copy of the print, if possible.
- A completed entry form must also be submitted. Photo Contest Entry Form
- A maximum of 3 photos may be sumbitted
- Submitted photos will not be returned and may be framed and exhibited on the MSU campus
- Photos must be original work taken by the entrant during the entrant's study abroad program
- Entries must be received no later than 5:00 pm Friday, October 23th, 2008

CRITERIA
There are 4 catergories for submission:
1. People and culture
2. Landscape
3. Humorous
4. MSU Students Abroad
JUDGING
Photos will be reviewed by a panel consisting of selected MSU faculty and staff.
Selection criteria include:
1. Technical merit (clarity, focus, lighting, etc.)
2. Representation of the study abroad experience
3. Sensitivity toward the host culture
4. For the MSU Students Abroad category, photos should show MSU students interacting within
their host countries and should somehow represent the ideals of study abroad (academic
learning, cultural learning, international awareness, sensitivity, and fun).
PRIZES
To be announced...
ONE prize will be given for "Best of Show"
ONE prize will be given to the best photo in each of the four categories
ONE "People's Choice" prize will be awarded, based on votes received during the Exit Gallery
show.
The top 15 photos will be displayed in the Exit Gallery during mid November as part of International Education Week.
