USQ Toowoomba Campus
Established in 1967, the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) is located in Toowoomba, twice voted Australia's best city to live in. Toowoomba is just 2 hours from the famous Gold and Sunshine Coast beaches, and home to over 150 public parks. USQ offers a variety of courses in Arts, Business, Commerce, Education, Engineering, and Sciences. On-campus facilities include computer labs, a library, banks, a travel agent, a coffee shop, a restaurant, a pub, a bookstore, a post office, a cafeteria, a stationary store, a hairdresser, a recreation center (including a gym), a sports hall, five sports grounds and tennis courts. International students form a significant part of the total on-campus enrollment of the University. The university's multinational campus encourages learning and cultural exchange.

USQ Fraser Coast offers a wide range of programs in the fields of accounting, community welfare and development, human services (counselling), education, marketing, work-based learning and nursing. Language of Instruction
All courses are taught in English.
Students who have completed a full academic year of university level work with a 3.0 GPA by the time they begin studies at University of Southern Queensland are eligible.
Credit will be awarded at MSU for all courses taken and passed at the University of Southern Queensland. The student's advisor at MSU, in consultation with the Office of International Programs, will determine how these credits will apply to degree course requirements. However, successful study at the University of Southern Queensland satisfies MSU's Multicultural/Global core curriculum requirement. Students are urged to work closely with their advisor and the office prior to departure to plan a course of studies which will maintain steady progress toward their degree.
Toowoomba is located 90 minutes west of Brisbane and approximately two hours west of the world famous Gold Coast. The city offers a unique urban-rural lifestyle in a secure and stimulating environment. The city is popular with international students because it offers one of the lowest costs of living in Australia and boasts excellent sporting, cultural, social and commercial facilities in a clean, unpolluted environment. Opportunities abound to explore Australia's bushland interior, coastal rainforests, go whale watching, wine-tasting and surfing. Toowoomba has a moderate climate.
The USQ Fraser Coast campus is located at Hervey Bay, a half-hour flight or three and a half hours drive north of Brisbane.The Bay is a great location for international students, with a superb climate, calm waters, pristine beaches and relaxed lifestyle.
Bordered by 40 kilometres of beautiful, calm beaches, the Fraser Coast region has a population of approximately 95,000. Hervey Bay’s population of 52,000 is increasing rapidly as people continually move to the region.
Just offshore lies the World Heritage-listed Fraser Island, which is the largest sand island in the world. A unique natural environment, Fraser Island has unspoiled beaches, rainforests and fresh water lakes – all attractions for eco-tourists from around the globe.
Hervey Bay has become known as the whale-watching capital of the world. Humpback whales and their calves rest and play in the Bays sheltered waters between August and November.
Hervey Bay’s esplanade is lined with a range of street cafés, fine dining restaurants and clubs. You can enjoy barbecues on the impressive foreshore or hire bicycles, jet skis and canoes, while swimming in the safe protected waters of the Bay.

Cost and Included Benefits
Students who receive exchange placements at the University of Southern Queensland will pay MSU tuition and fees, but pay USQ for room and board at USQ prices. Each student should plan for additional expenses, such as travel related costs (e.g. airline tickets). Remember to plan for extra expenses including travel and purchase of souvenirs as well as unexpected changes in the exchange rate.
Financial aid may be available for study abroad at the University of Southern Queensland. Additional costs for study at USQ (e.g. travel to and from the study site) may be used in calculating student's financial aid package. Students are responsible to apply to the Office of Financial Aid.
