All LEAP participants will travel to Washington, DC to meet with OIP staff for a learning tour that completes the LEAP experience. Past tours have included visits to the following offices for presentations about their mission and operations:

Association and nonprofit
While in Washington, time for sightseeing will also be scheduled, and the LEAP participants will meet with program staff to evaluate the program evaluation.
The trip to Washington is a highlight for LEAP participants. It provides them with an opportunity to learn from and network with professionals in organizations important to the provision of higher education, as well as to reconnect with each other and the program staff before returning to their new professional appointments in Japan.
