Authentication Requirements

In order to authenticate (log in) to the Banner INF VPN server, users must:

1. Have an MSU Domain account
2. Be a member of the Active Directory Banner INF VPN Security Group

To be added to theBanner INF VPN Security Group please complete a Banner Account Request Form. Contact your MTL or Justin Van Almelo with questions.

Instructions

To install a Banner INF VPN client follow the same instructions as those for installing a generic VPN client on XP or Vista / Windows 7, however make the following substitutions in the steps indicated below for your operating system.

XP

• Step 7:Enter Banner INF VPN in the Company Name field (figure 1).
• Step 10:Enter infvpn.montana.edu in the Host Name field (figure 2).

Vista/Windows 7

• Step 6: enter infvpn.montana.edu in the Internet address field (figure 3).
• Step 7: enter Banner INF VPN in the Destination Name field (figure 3).
