About our department... In support of the Montana State University mission, the Information Technology Center (ITC) promotes, develops, delivers, and facilitates the use of information technology services and resources. ITC manages, operates, and supports Montana State University's multilevel, distributed computation and information systems. The department is organized into four groups: Administrative Systems, Infrastructure Services & Operations, Planning and Programs Office & Business Office, and User Support Services. | ||||||||||||||

Duties and Responsibilities |
About this position... The person in this position is the Network Analyst with primary responsibility for the Montana State University enterprise wireless network. Of the four divisions within ITC, the Infrastructure Services & Operations Division supports the campus network backbone, Wide Area Network (WAN) connections, Local Area Network (LAN) wired and wireless infrastructure, and the State and Universities of Montana Multi-protocol Network (SUMMITnet) cooperatively with the state and other educational units. Duties include configuring, deploying and troubleshooting all networking equipment. This position will be responsible for the deployment and management of the MSU wireless network. This position will also configure and monitor switches, routers, and other wired and wireless network devices.
