Course Worksheet
  1. MLS Prerequisites:
The equivalent of four semesters of Spanish language is required. Please note that this does not necessarily mean that students must take four Spanish language prerequisites. Students with prior experience in Spanish language often place out of MLS 101 and/or MLS 102D. And in other special cases, MLS 101 and/or MLS 102D can be waived, at the discretion of the Modern Language Department. In addition, students may take the CLEP exam in Spanish and receive up to eleven (11) credits that may be applied toward the minor. Students interested in the LALS minor should therefore consult with the Modern Language Department immediately upon their decision to fulfill the minor so that they can ascertain the language requirement that is appropriate for them.
