To recognize and celebrate the Year of Engaged Leadership at Montana State University, the College of Letters and Science established the Fellows in Engagement program. This one-time, AY 2013-14 program recognizes those in the college whose work includes a strong component of engagement with the communities served by Montana State University.
Tenure-track faculty, non-tenure track faculty and staff were eligible for these fellowships.
The Fellows in Engagement will participate in one of three panel discussions and/or give a campus-wide talk about one or more engagement efforts arising out of their MSU roles. These talks will be focused on engagement, or on scholarship and the engagement that ensues from it, allowing the college to highlight engaged leadership among faculty and staff. Where appropriate, the fellows are also encouraged include student collaborators in the on-campus talks.
Each Fellow in Engagement will receive a stipend to support their research and/or engagement activities in AY 2013-14 along with the title of College of Letters and Science Fellow in Engagement for AY 2013-14.
