What Can I Do With a Major in Philosophy?

"The study of history requires one to shatter the preconceived perspective of the past in favor of a far more complex and intricate story. You must analyze fragmented and sometimes conflicting information to weave new narratives, generating a unique take on previous humans through a blend of both critical thinking and creativity. Pursuing a degree in history at MSU equipped me with these skills which gave me the tools I needed to move across the country and land a job in the U.S. Senate."
"MSU's Museum Studies minor provided an introduction to museum practices that combined with the skills gained through its internship opportunities allowed me to apply for and obtain my first museum position.  The instructors and advisors are knowledgeable and supportive, and they ignite a passion for the museum field in students."
