David Johnson, a professor of sociology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, will present "Is Death Different? Capital Punishment in the United States and Japan."
Japan and the United States are the only two developed democracies that retain capital punishment and continue to carry out executions on a regular basis.

BOREALIS Program Open House
Engineering and Physics students will be participate to discuss the interdisciplinary program, Montana Space Grant, which provides hands out research opportunities for students. Students will be available to talk about why they are in the program and what they are getting out of it. Specifically, the open house will highlight student involvement in the BOREALIS (Balloon Outreach, Research, Exploration, and Landscape Imaging) Program where students launch balloons for near space exploration.
