Description

Each year, the College of Letters and Science recognizes two outstanding graduating seniors, one in letters and one in science, with the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. The nominee must have graduated the previous fall or will graduate in spring/summer to be eligible for the award.

Eligibility & Stipulations

  • To be eligible for the award, the nominee must have graduated in the fall or will graduate this spring/summer. 
  • Each department may only nominate one senior.

  • A nominating letter that addresses the candidate’s record of academic excellence and achievement
  • 1-2 faculty letters of support
  • A copy of the nominee’s transcript
  • A list of the nominee’s activities and service, if applicable
  • A letter of support from the department head if faculty letters are submitted by other faculty
