The College of Letters & Science is pleased to announce travel grants for both undergraduate and graduate L&S students to present original research at professional and academic conferences.
In Spring 2008, the Vice President for Research, Creativity and Technology Transfer instituted a competition between the colleges on campus to recognize and reward their encouragement of student research. Success was judged by the proportion of each college's population involved in the Spring MSU Research Celebration.
For several years in a row, L&S has won the competition and been awarded both a trophy and monies to further support student research. Dean Rae is pleased to make this money available in the form of travel grants for students presenting their research at national, international and regional meetings.
Applications must be received in the Dean’s Office by 12 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2013. This call is for travel between January 1, 2013 and June 30, 2013. There will be a second call in December for funds used January 1, 2013 through June 30, 2013.
