Welcome to the School Library Media certification program, housed in the Department of Education in the College of Education, Health and Human Development at Montana State University-Bozeman!

Are you interested in acquiring certification to become a school library media specialist? Do you need recertification credits in the field of Library Media? Would you like to be able to complete this program online? If so, this Web site contains all of the information you need in order to plan your route to certification, select courses, and browse School Library Media resources. We have received official approval from accreditation officials in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wyoming. Our education programs are accredited by the Montana Office of Public Instruction and Montana Board of Public Education, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), and we participate in the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification's (NASDTEC) Interstate Contract. Welcome!
