Desire2Learn, Montana State Online Course Management System

Desire2Learn (D2L) is the web-based distance learning course management software system used by Montana State Online through the Extended University at Montana State University in Bozeman. We also offer excellent library support to our distance students through Renne Library.

If you are thinking about registering for a school library media course, you must have access to the Internet via a high speed connection, an email account other than your school or work one, and a personal computer that matches the technical requirements at the system check link below.

Besides the hardware and software requirements, you also need:

  1. Basic understanding of word processing and email applications
  2. Familiarity with spreadsheet and database applications and software
  3. Basic knowledge of the Web, search engines, and experience using different browsers and online databases
  4. Experience with software downloads and multimedia plug-ins
