Jack's Poetry
After retirement Jack published a book of poetry:
Water Like the Soul Of An Angel.
Los Angeles: Howling Loon Press, 2005.

The book was very favorably reviewed in a number of forums including Montana Library Focus, the publication of the state library association.
He has done many poetry readings in Montana, Oregon and Wisconsin including the Montana Festival of the Book.
Jack has published a number of poems in other venues, most recently in the book Poems Across The Big Sky: An Anthology Of Montana Poets, ed. Lowell Jaeger, Kalispell: Many Voices Press, 2007.
He is at work on poems and essays for a second book and has written 160 poems for a third book tentatively titled Poems For Intelligent Children.
Although it's not poetry, he has agreed to complete a study for a book on Don Quixote to be published by the University of San Marcos in 2008. Jack says this will be his last scholarly publication.
