Current Events

Azouz Begag, noted French novelist, essayist, screenwriter, sociologist, and former French Minister for the Promotion of Equal Opportunities, will be visiting MSU this fall. He will give a public lecture on October 30 at 7:00 p.m. in SUB Ballrooms B&C.

Konrad Wolf's film "Sonnensucher" concludes this semester's German film series on November 5th at 7 p.m. in Visual Communications Building 182.

Marilyn Bolles, Guggenheim Professor of Japanese and Director of Japan Studies at MSU introduces the film After Life at the Bozeman Film Festival. The screening begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Emerson Center and is followed by a discussion.

The third lecture in the Borderland Lecture Series will take place on Thursday, November 8th at 7 p.m., Bozeman Public Library. Stephen Trejo, Professor of Labor Economics, University of Texas, Austin, TX, will speak about "The SocioEconomic Progress of Mexican Americans"

The final lecture of the Borderland Lecture Series will be on Friday, November 16th at 6 p.m., Hagar Auditorium, Museum of the Rockies. Don Mitchell, Professor of Geography at Syracuse University, will talk about "Terrorists, Vigilantes, War, and the Border"
