officers, discuss upcoming events, and discuss amending Chapter
bylaws to require election of officers before the MT Chapter
annual meeting

October 17, 2007 at 5:30 pm: Leanne
Roulson, with Garcia and Associates consulting, will discuss
Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL) standards; the maximum amount of
a pollutant that a waterbody can receive and still meet water
quality standards

October 16: Lake trout gill-netting on
Yellowstone Lake, Yellowstone National Park

September 26, 2007 - 5:30 pm: Bozeman area game warden,
Brian Loyd, will discuss his profession and
provided recommendations for those interested in becoming a game
warden

September 12, 2007: Join us at Cooper Park
starting at 5:30 pm for our annual fall BBQ.

March 27th (Tuesday), 2007: Montana Trout
Presentation, 6:00 pm 304 Lewis Hall. John Zelazny will be
presenting a program describing Montana Trout, a new trout
conservation organization in Montana. He will also be
recruiting volunteers for a fund-raiser he is having at the Emerson
on May 10th.

April 21st (Saturday), 2007: Second annual
joint field day with The Wildlife Society and first annual
Mandeville Creek clean-up- 9:00am.
We will meet at the Pavilion on the
corner of College and 11th at 9:00. We'll update folks on
the conservation efforts to date then we’ll pickup trash and walk
the stream. We have coordinated these efforts with Bozeman Cleanup
Day (4/21) and Earth Day (4/22). We plan on grilling out at 12:00
then establishing our Monitoring Campaign in the afternoon. We will
be electrofishing, setting up discharge monitoring stations
(Aqua-rods), collecting water quality information and will be
coordinating these events with the Field Day.
This is a great opportunity to gain field
experience for summer jobs.

April 28th (Saturday), 2007: The Fish and
Wildlife Forum returns @ Lindley Park Center- 5:00pm. This year we
will have live music by the Ecotones, the Ecology Department Awards,
a raffle, slideshow, a roast pig, and beverages. Bring a dish to
pass and friends. Tickets are for sale in the Ecology Department
office (310 Lewis) and at the door (5$ advance, 7$ at the door).

November 14th, 2006: Bob Wiltshire, Chief
of Operations for the Federation of Fly Fishers will be discussing
invasive species management and outreach. 5:15 pm, 304 Lewis
Hall.

December 5th, 2006: Joe Urbani, Chief
Biologist for Urbani and Associates will be discussing some of his
current restoration projects. 5:15 pm, 304 Lewis Hall.

October 17th, 2006: Kajsa Stromberg,
Outreach Coordinator for the Montana Water Center will show the new
Whirling Disease movie created by students in the MSU Wildlife Film
program. 5:15pm, 304 Lewis Hall.

September 19th, 2006: First meeting of the
fall, 5:15pm, 304 Lewis Hall. Come hear about our upcoming
project on Mandeville Creek.

September 12th, 2006: Fall BBQ at Cooper
Park, 5:00 pm - free.
