What is Sustained Dialogue?Founded in 2011, MSU Sustained Dialogue is a group of students that come together to thoughtfully dialogue about difference, similarity and other aspects of life. By participating in engaged dialogue, our aim is to promote holistic understanding by bridging gaps between traditionally opposing groups. Sustained conversations will encourage and embrace diversity, resulting in actions that are deliberate, thoughtful, and enduring.
We are fortunate to be part of a larger network called:
Sustained Dialogue Campus Network
The mission of the Sustained Dialogue Campus Network is to develop everyday leaders who engage differences as strengths to improve campuses, workplaces, and communities.
SDCN is an initiative of the International Institute for Sustained Dialogue (IISD), headquartered in Washington, DC. IISD is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2002 to promote the process of Sustained Dialogue for transforming racial, ethnic, and other deep-rooted conflicts in the United States and abroad.
