Anna Jesaitis is completing a D.M.A. in Viola Performance at the University of Colorado -Boulder under Erika Eckert. Prior to attending CU, Anna studied with Alan de Veritch for her M.M. in Viola Performance at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. She earned her B.M. in Viola Performance from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music under Peter Slowik.
Anna has sixteen years of experience teaching students of all levels and ages violin and viola. She currently maintains a Bozeman teaching studio and was most recently on the faculty of Boulder Suzuki Strings. She has received extensive training in violin/viola pedagogy through a Suzuki apprenticeship with William Starr and with Mimi Zweig and Brenda Brenner in conjunction with the IU String Academy.
An active performer, Anna has served as Principal Viola for numerous orchestras including, currently, the Bozeman Symphony. She also performs frequently as a chamber musician and enjoys playing Baroque viola.
