The Bobcat Pep Band is a high-energy, enthusiastic, and animated ensemble that performs at various community and sporting events. Members of The Bobcat Pep Band take great pride in representing the essence of Montana State University through spirit, passion, and powerful performances. The Bobcat Pep Band is open to all MSU students. An informal audition is required.

The Spirit of the West
Marching Band upholds the traditions of
excellence in musical and visual performance,
representing the best of Montana
State University. Open to all MSU students,
The Spirit of the West Marching Band is
comprised of members with various years
of experience, a variety of majors, and all
stages of musicianship. Prior marching
band experience is not required. The Spirit
of the West Marching Band, the largest and
most visible ensemble on campus, provides
members with the opportunity to experience
aesthetic events, support MSU
Athletics, grow socially, develop leadership,
travel – in summary, The Spirit of the
West Marching Band is the best of Montana
State University. An informal audition
is required.
