MSU Guitar Ensemble

The MSU Guitar Ensemble is open to all Montana State University Students with permission of the instructor. The group has a limited number of spaces available, usually 4-6 players. The students placed in this quartet will rehearse weekly and perform a wide variety of literature written specifically for flute quartet. The MSU Horn Ensemble is open to all Montana State University Students with permission of the instructor. The horn ensemble membership varies, but has had up to 18 members in recent times. Chamber Music Ensemble

The sections of MUS 356 which are not named above are available for students who desire to form their own ensemble, research and choose music appropriate for the ensemble, and be coached by a music department faculty member appropriate to the ensemble. The music department is home to an impressive chamber music library which is available for check-out to students enrolled in this class. Many different combinations of instrument and vocal possibilities exist within the library and students are encouraged to form their own groups and request permission to enroll.
